That’s right, folks. We’re into December, and still no goddamn snow out here in Ontario. It’s such a crapshoot up here. Some shredding seasons, like 2008, start in mid-November with a bang; in fact, according to this article, we were riding November 23 last year. Of course, it could be worse; in 2007, there was a serious snow crisis that led to seasonal layoffs at Blue Mountain (you can relive that era through my not-so-insightful media quotes here).
Anyway, on the upside, it looks like it’s going to snow all week long in Ontario’s cottage country, so it’s likely I will get some turns in before the holidays. I’ve got excess vacation time, so if the resorts open up shortly I might take a day off and head up there.
I can’t believe Alberta is getting slammed with blizzards today. Sigh.
It’s been a wee on the dry side here in Idaho too. BUT – powder is finally flying today!!!! Hope it is for you guys too…
Why aren’t you guys coming on the Big White trip I posted about?
GEEZ!
Seriously though, you need to come out to BC, we’ve had a ton of snow here already
It seems like it’s gone white all at once.
Crazy snow falls in Alberta and even here in Ontario.
Big white would be epic. Some day soon, we promise!
Idaho would be an amzing experience – too and I am guessing not as busy as places like Whistler or Aspen.
I feel your pain (from Detroit)! We’ve got no accumulation down here, but some of the resorts in Northern Michigan got 2 feet last week. I’m headed up there Thursday for this weekend.
