While I had nothing worthy of a specific post here’s a few nuggets from recently articles, press releases and other stuff that has come our way.
Beer, gear and backcountry cheer: Pyramid Breweries are giving away a free trip to Squaw Valley for a winner and three friends. Contest does not appear open to Canucks. Details are here.
Whistler opened yesterday. Sounds like Village Gondola, red chair, green chair, Franz’s chair were all open. Check out this video for an idea of what conditions are like.
How is social media changing how ski resorts interact with customers? Boston.com had a good article this weekend on the changing landscape. After I read the article I checked out the North Face iPhone app mentioned, and it was pretty badass. Check out the article here.
Keeping with iPhone apps, I also downloaded SlopeRider after learning it appeared in the latest iPhone ad. Wasn’t a big fan of the game.
