Snowboarding

Feeling a Cool Breeze

Next Tuesday, the 22nd, is the last day of summer. Don’t get me wrong, I like the Summer. Heck I love all of the seasons. But it is only winter that brings the snow I require. I am starting to daydream about shredding and starting to discuss plans for various trips.

I recently went and bought myself a couple of toques (winter hats) on a whim. One is plaid (mustard yellow, red and black – not as ugly as it sounds) with a nifty brim. The other is green and has built in speakers with fairly decent sound quality. Washing that one won’t be easy. Hopefully it can handle drycleaning.

I think that buying equipment or clothes in the Fall helps me get psyched for the season ahead. Are there any puchases you plan on making to help you get ready for the season? Trips you want to work on planning? Seasons passes to buy? I’m going to look into Blue Mountain now.

The waiting really is the hardest part.

Discussion

  1. It’s on! I’m so excited. I’ve already started looking online at all the new fashions.. pumped!

I start looking at all the places to go catboarding… and the places to go on snowboard trips……………….

    Ugh.

Nevermind, it just makes me grumpy and impatient ;)

  2. In terms of having to wait for the hills to open up, it’s going to be a long couple of months.

  3. Oh man, I cannot stop thinking about snowboarding!! It’s driving me nuts already. Let’s see.. This summer I bought a board, gloves, goggles and am still looking for a new set of bindings. Usually I don’t buy so much, but I think my addiction is getting worse.

  4. I love shopping for gear and upgrading my stuff. You sound like me Dan. Which is a shame because I get a lot of grief for being me.

  5. I’m glad to see there are others like me. Here in Missoula Montana we are gearing up for the annual “Pray For Snow” party. Can’t freakin wait!
