Canadian Snowboarders Clean Up At Worlds

Canada had a good showing at a couple of snowboarding events while I was in Whistler:

  • Long-time shredder Jasey-Jay Anderson won gold in a world championship snowboarding giant slalom event. Matthew Morison, another Canadian (from Ontario, actually), won bronze. Get the details here.
  • At the same event, which took place in South Korea, another Ontario boy, Jeff Batchelor took the silver in the men’s halfpipe. Click here for a nice interview.

Go Canada! These are winning performances you like to see as the 2010 Winter Olympics approach.

Discussion

  1. I really, REALLY want to see Canada win some (gold) medals at the 2010 Olympics. Really really bad!

I feel like they are “our” sports. It would be great to win at home.
