For those of us who hope to return to active lifestyles, there is no ‘official’ best way, but my doctor as well as my uncle who is an Orthopedic Surgeon and worked with the New England Patriots said the patellar tendon graft is favored for active lifestyles. I am happy to share my experience via blog, as I am on day 7 post-op from patellar tendon ACL reconstruction. If you don’t mind sharing, which technique and tissue source did you choose for your ACLr? I’m having to make the same difficult choice now, and I’m interested in your response. I blew my left ACL out while in the new “Stash” terrain park at Killington. I want to get back to biking and boarding, and I want to make sure that I choose wisely when it comes to surgery.

My girlfriend has dislocated her knee several times and claims girls are more susceptable to knee dislocations. Possibly related.

We definitely got the short end on this one. Multiple knee injuries for me.
