So Tru TV, an American television station previously known as Court TV, has launched a reality television show named Ski Patrol which — you guessed it — follows ski patrollers around in Washington State and Pennsylvania. Looking at the episode guide, one would immediately think the life of a ski patroller is one of non-stop insanity:
Damn! That does sound like exciting television.
A new York Daily News write-up, though, points out that ski patrollers do have downtime:
“Without minimizing the essential work of ski patrollers, then, the most enduring moments from the opening night of “Ski Patrol” may be 1) two teenage jerks who build themselves a dangerous snowboard jump in the middle of a trail and 2) the patroller who, during the after-work party, drinks an entire large bottle of ranch dressing.”
I am very curious to check out this show, but I unfortunately do not have Tru TV. The show airs Mondays.
Hi …any idea what channel in Canada may be airing this program
kind regards
I’m sure this show will be pretty good, but I really miss the days before reality TV took over.
I don’t have truTV, but I wonder if they have it online. I’d like to at least check it out. And yes, television was much better without reality TV.
LOL! This show looks hilarious. Hilariously AWFUL! Sidenote, ever heard of an Australian lifeguard reality show, it’s called Bondi Rescue and is a total hoot… I caught it last year on a flight to Oz on Qantas. And my sister works for a surrogate-mother agency and they are apparently in talks to do a reality show about the agency! Reality TV sucks.
