Snowboarding

Caution: Do Not Read If You Love Snowboarding

An announcement I received today from Powderquest Tours reads:

Up to 6 feet of fresh snow has fallen in Portillo, Chile from two recent storms!

Portillo will be opening early this year and similar conditions may allow Valle Nevado, El Colorado, and La Parva to open as early as next week.

Another winter storm is in the forecast for next week expected to bring moderate to heavy snow from Las Lenas and Portillo to Patagonia.

PowderQuest June and July trips should have amazing conditions!  Limited space remains.”

Sigh.

Discussion

  1. Wow, that is ridiculous.

I remember my trip this year to Sugarloaf, Maine in early April at the end of the season, I thought all hope was lost, and then the night before the trip Sugarloaf got 6 inches of fresh powder, that was sweet.

I can only imagine what 6 FEET of fresh pow feels like…
