I Can See Clearly Now: Makboard, The See-Through Ride

We get a lot of pitches for stories on various types of equipment and new ways to snowboard. Rarely, though, do we get pitches on improvements to existing snowboard designs. So when I stumbled across a story this morning on the Makboard, a see-through snowboard, it piqued my interest.

The Makboard:

  • Looks pretty cool
  • Is made of 100% recyclable plastic
  • “Edges similar to steel” (I never thought about it, but I guess an all-plastic snowboard means no steel edges)
  • Holes in the tail to reduce drag and boost speed

It also looks like a neat, new way to get environmentally friendly on the slopes. You can get more information at Makboard.com.
