Snowboarding Is Done: Here Comes Spring and Summer

With temperatures reaching 15 celsius and no western trips on the horizon, it would appear my snowboarding season is done. It’s time to put the snowboard in storage, and pull out the golf clubs.

Over the summer I plan to participate in a lot of:

  • Mountain biking: You’ll be hearing a fair bit about this, albeit on a relatively informal basis. You can find some mountain biking posts here.
  • Ultimate frisbee: A sport I used to make fun of for being “wimpy”, which I now play twice a week.
  • Golf: Yay golf! There’s plenty of places to play here in Ontario.
  • Roller hockey: Full equipment, in an arena, four-on-four, no icing or offsides. A very fast-paced game.

Of course, you’ll continue to hear about snowboarding and ski resorts too.

The big addition this year is Steve and his cycling content, which I expect will ramp up through the spring and summer. I’m really looking forward to his contributions.

Discussion

  1. This is a sad day… the day we bury the 2007-2008 snowboard season. I suppose it will be nice to get some sun and not look like casper for 6 months or so.
