I recently mentioned that Mt. St. Louis Moonstone, a popular ski area here in Ontario, had added a new lift. I recently received some additional details courtesy of Ski and Snowboard Canada’s newsletter:
“Their most recent projects will amaze everyone who visits the day ticket facility with the erection of a new high-speed six-person chair which accesses the entire mountain, increased snow making, re-sculpting of skiable terrain and increased teaching terrain at one of the beginner areas.”
“Those familiar with the runs will recognize the widening of Stretcher, the regarding of Timberline and addition of terrain south of Kinder Carpet. Yap they moved more earth! These projects will improve traffic, skiing/riding variety and teaching terrain.
With the new “Summit Six Express” only steps away from the base lodge you are two minutes away from the top. Two minutes away from experiencing the best skiing riding in Ontario. The uphill capacity being increased to 24,000 continues to maintain MSLM’s reputation of having no lift lines.”
“Two minutes away from the top” is the clue that you’re riding in Ontario. But what can we do? Can’t fight nature.
