Want to Earn Cash While Writing About Snowboarding?

My sister notes that About.com is hiring a snowboarding guide. Quoth About.com:

The purpose of the Snowboarding site is to teach, inform and otherwise enrich the experience of both casual and committed riders. The site will include such staples as tutorials, gear reviews and how-tos, mountain profiles, and some content covering the exploits of the pros.

If this is something that interests you, check it out. I’m not sure how you get paid, though; I think it’s on some sort of revenue-sharing basis.

  1. I think about.com pays its guides a flat rate of $725 a month for the first two years. Afterwards, that rate seems to fluctuate depending on traffic. Some guides make incredible money. Ad revenue may or may not be involved.
