Another Snowboarding Portal Launches…

… and this one is ladies-only. MissBoarder.com features articles, forums and a store, although the store is not yet active.

The good: According to the press release on Transworld, Missboarder will open their first season with a donation drive and gear contest to benefit Boarding for Breast Cancer.

The bad: Launching without the store (supposedly an important piece) and the lame search engine optimization efforts at the bottom of the page. C’mon folks, this ain’t 1997. Otherwise, it’s a nice-looking site.

  1. Hi, thanks for the nice comments about our site as well as the crticisms. The reason we decided to launch the the site before the store was open was simply to try to hep build some awareness for the site before the gear gets here through our non-store features. Perhaps this was a mistake. Yet if the site wasn’t open yet you wouldn’t have had the chance to post that it was a nice looking site :) As for the search engine words at the bottom of the page; yeah, I’ll culp to that. No excuses, just ignorace on my part. I’m still learning the search engine ropes. Hopefully it won’t keep you from visiting our site in the future.
