Snowboarding

What I Learned In New York City

I’ve been in New York City (specifically, Manhattan) all week, where I learned a few (albeit non-snowboarding) things:

  • The best way to hail a cab is to run in the middle of the street and flail your arms wildly. This gives you a 50 percent chance of getting one to pull over.
  • Mahattan is incredibly clean and safe.
  • It may be Times Square, but bars still close at 11. What’s the deal with last call being so early everywhere in America on a weeknight?
  • There’s a cool spot in Grand Central Station where talking into one corner of the wall carries your voice to the opposite side of the hallway. Crazy!
  • I apparently really miss snowboarding.

Other exicting summer destinations this year include: Chicago, Washington and Regina! Whooo Saskatchewan!
