I was just doing a little reading on the Crazy Canucks, pride of the Canadian ski world in the 1970s and 1980s. The Canucks became particularly adept at the downhill, and were known for their reckless attitude and nasty spills (along with winning, too).
This got me thinking: the 2006 Olympics had a snowboard cross and a snowboarding giant slalom event; what about a snowboarding downhill event? Are these held anywhere? Too dangerous? I’d love to see one.
Also, it’s snowing in Toronto. Finally! It’s been damn cold, but also one of the driest winters on record.
