I’m back from my super-awesome Whistler trip, but I’m way behind on email. As a result, I can’t post a full entry yet. However, here’s a few pics I took with my crappy camera phone, inspired by a request earlier this month to take a pic of Franz’s run.
Here’s a pic of the sign at the top of Franz’s Run (also known as ‘Upper Franz’), future site of the 2010 Women’s Super G. This run is popular because it’s typically icy… but when I was there it was full of powder. ![]()
glad to see you had an awesome time …. i wrenched my back somehow ….. please post more shots if you got any
Most excellent! I’d like to know a little more about how Whistler compares to other places. I’m considering a trip up there next year. I’m glad you had a good time!
Welcome Back!
I hope you had a wonderful trip - it sounds good so far and the pictures look like you had nice weather… can’t wait to hear about some of your stories.
Thanks so much for the picture Adam! It’s great! I really appreciate it - the things you do for a total stranger
Thanks again!!
My pleasure! I’m surprised at how well they turned out on a lousy camera phone. The full-size ones look better, I should post those in a photo area or something..

Though the only riding I’ve done in the US has been in the east (so, no Colorado or Utah), the major positive to me is sheer size. Two mountains, more acreage than any other mountains in North America, and some of the most extensive groomed trails on the continent. I also find it inexpensive to get to (I’m in Toronto) compared to other locations and, while I don’t have any scientific evidence, I would imagine it’s slightly less expensive than some leading US resorts.

Also, if you have the time, Vancouver is totally awesome to hang out in too.
You guys should really have a picture gallery or post more in the topics …… just throw them up with tinypic
I just posted the original, larger version in the Whistler Photos area:
