It Had to Happen: Snowboarding Reality TV
Get ready for reality television, snowboarding style. According to Reality TV World, a new TV show will take viewers inside The Block, a chain of hotels geared exclusively toward snowboarders. The article doesn’t have too many details on what the show will be about, but apparently it will depict what day-to-day life is like at The Block hotels and detail the shenanigans that go on. Um, okay.

THE BLOCK will capture the best of the snowboarding lifestyle that few outsiders ever get to see. Each episode combines hardcore riding on the slopes with the crazy lives of the hotel’s staff, as they interact with the guests, pro snowboarders, bands and celebrities who make the hotel their winter home.
To me, the most interesting part of the article was learning about the hotels themselves, located at Big Bear and Tahoe. Each room was designed by a different company, and features badass amenities like video games, boot dryers/glove warmers, free beer and HDTVs. Cooooool.
