Prelude to Whistler

As most of you are aware, the weather here in Ontario (and most of the east royally sucks). I can’t believe that I’ve only been riding four days this year, and three of those have had to take place out-of-province.

On the other hand, I leave for a week-long trip to Whistler on January 14. I plan to ride five, maybe six, of the days I am out there. Although I’m always excited when I go to Whistler, I’m particularly excited about this trip for several reasons:

- I’m staying in the Village, in a townhouse at Glacier’s Reach. I’ve never had a townhouse in the Village; only a hotel room. Amenities include a kitchen and a private hot tub.

- 1,000 new acres are open thanks to the new Symphony Express lift, and it sounds like the new area is amazing.

- Whistler has a remarkable 100-inch base of snow, and it’s growing every day.

I’m sure the trip will lead to additional tidbits for the Whistler guide.
