Everyone,
Happy holidays!
Thank you for your continued support and comments this season.
In honor of the holiday spirit, I’ve come up with a 10-item Christmas ‘wish list’ for various snowboarding people and organizations this Christmas. Got some ideas yourself? Leave ‘em in the comments below.
For eastern North America and Europe: Snow. Snow snow snow. The lack of snow in many parts of the world means a green Christmas for many, and ski resorts are going to take a huge financial hit because of it. Not to mention I won’t be able to ride during the holidays.
For Snowboarding.com: A redesign. And maybe a business plan, depending on well they’re doing. The site just seems like a mish-mash of… stuff.
For Whistler-Blackcomb: That the snow they’re getting this year returns for the 2010 Olympics.
For Ross Rebagliati: A sponsorship and a spot on the Canadian snowboarding team. (Okay, probably a bit early for #2, but still…)
For Canadian snowboarder Dominique Maltais: A speedy recovery. This snowboard cross bronze medalist in the 2006 Winter Oympics tore her ACL this year. I can certainly sympathize… although I’m still able to ride thanks to some amazing of luck.
For American snowboarder Alan Henderson: Also a speedy recovery. He was seriously injured riding earlier this year. Visit his site here.
For UK riders: A massive geological disturbance that creates a few mountains so you’re not always stuck snowboarding indoors. Although you’re much closer to Europe than I am, so that ain’t bad.
For Wil at 120 Days of Powder: A deluge of work and link sponsorships, making his Wil Aid campaign a resounding success.
For Shaun White: A haircut. Also, check out this pretty nice profile on him by The Telegraph (complete with picture of huge hair).
For me: The ability to ride through the 2006-2007 season problem free, and a speedy recovery from surgery in 2007. But I’ll take a nice pair of pants, too, if I can get ‘em - I split the ass on my other ones at Tremblant. That’s embarassing.
Wil Aid. I think he is changing his site’s name to “Pimp My Blog”.
Merry Christmas Adam.
It must have been all of that fondue.
For Me: The Yakima Fat Cat 6 is that rack. With skis only getting fatter, no other rack can handle wider skis and boards quite like this. Universal mounting hardware fits almost any crossbar out there.
