Snowbird Offers Easier Access Using New Lift and… Tunnel?

This is interesting. Snowbird Ski Resort in Utah just christened a new quad ski lift that connects to a new 600-foot ski tunnel. The tunnel, which connects two different areas of the resort, “makes Snowbird’s intermediate terrain more accessible to skiers and snowboarders,” according to Snowbird.

The tunnel features a pretty cool conveyor belt. Looks like a really long magic carpet, except this carpet doesn’t drop you off at the top of a crappy bunny hill; instead, it takes you to kickass alpine terrain in Utah.

Apparently this is the first tunnel of its kind in North America (they already exist in Europe). Looks like a cool shortcut.
