I was poking around Burton’s website pretty extensively today, and came across something really cool: Burton’s own snowboard photo history. The 1977 fiberglass prototype is pretty crazy; imagine hurtling yourself down a mountain without bindings. It’s also amazing to see how long boards stayed pointed, kind of like old-school skis. Definitely worth a visit to see.
The rest of Burton’s site is worth exploring, too; between their message board, blogs, gear and company history, you can spend a lot of time poking around.
Oh man, Mike Vanderjadgt just missed a field goal; another black spot on Southern Ontario!
