- It’s officially “It’s Snowing Everywhere But Here and I’m Going to Whine About It” season. We all know what’s up in Colorado, which is getting tons of snow. It’s started snowing a fair bit at Jay Peak, Whistler has announced an opening date of November 23 (and it’s fairly snowy in the alpine; snowmaking is underway), and Tremblant and Mont Ste. Anne both plan to open November 17 and 18, respectively.

- Orbitz just released its “Insider Index“, naming the top U.S. ski resort destinations based on bookings and tossing in a few staff recommendations to boot. Top resort for bookings? Breckenridge. Best East Coast ski town, according to staff? Stowe, Vermont.
