I just caught wind of Burton’s new snowboarding movie, For Right or Wrong. The movie appears to be part eye candy, part documentary – an approach not often seen in the snowboard world (usually movies include jumps, stunts and drinking – but few interviews).
Apparently Burton teamed up with Mandalay Entertainment to make the movie, so you know it’s a serious venture. It looks at life on and off the hill, and what it’s like to snowboard for a living. There’s plenty of Burton stars in the movie, including Shaun White, Jeremy Jones, and Jake Burton himself.
You can view the trailer for yourself at Burton’s site. While I found the snippets of dialog interesting – I see Jeremy Jones ride in movies way more than I see him speak – I didn’t find the trailer to be anything special. But I really like the idea, and will reserve final judgement for when I actually see the movie.
Oh, and when can you see the movie? Check out the movie site for tour dates. It rolls into Toronto on October 27.
