Ontario Snowboarding

Toronto Ski and Snowboard Show

Next month I will be hitting up the Toronto Ski, Snowboard and Travel Show, which runs October 12 through 15 at Exhibition Place in Toronto (specifically, the Automotive Building). I’m sure this is going to get me even more excited to ride. I’m also hoping to get a good deal on a pair of boots, but I digress.

The show will feature more than 200 exhibitiors, including most North American ski resorts and equipment giants like Atomic and K2, and more than 30,000 people are expected to attend. Looks like they have some pretty cool events lined up, including:

  • Canada’s largest ski and snowboard swap
  • A Jib Jam
  • A big screen, free ride theatre

I’ll be taking in as much as possible while at the show and filing reports on the site, so keep an eye on the blog.

Edit: Just got a press release that states:

The
crowds will gather at the
Snowboard Canada Magazine booth to meet such
greats as the Forum snowboard team, with appearances by J. P. Walker, Joni Malmi
and Lauri Heiskari.  They’ll be
joined by the Nitro snowboard team featuring Mark Frank Montoya and Lukus
Huffman
.  Mikey Rencz, J. F.
Pelchat, Kale Stephens
and Paavo Tikanen are with the Whiteout Films snowboard
crew and are looking forward to the opportunity to spend some time with their
fans.”
