I Like Snowboarding Film Antics

I find there are typically two types of snowboarding films: the
high-budget,
I-got-dropped-from-a-helicopter-and-rode-down-the-side-of-a-mountain
movies, and the low-budget,
here-is-me-going-off-a-kicker-in-a-backyard-then-throwing-up-later
films. epi films seems to have an upcoming movie that mixes a bit of
both. The teaser has some good tricks, lots of antics and gratuitous swearing. My kinda film!

  1. On that topic, I’m wondering if anyone knows the name of a movie I saw about 15 years ago. It was one of those really late night cable television movies you never hear of and usually never see again. The guy was dropped from a helictoper I believe in the Alps though I’m not sure about the location. He does some intense snowboarding, then, when he reaches a really high cliff, base jumps off of it, collects his parachute after landing, then continues some more intense snowboarding. This continues on for quite a while with some really cool footage until he shockingly slides right off another huge cliff and falls to his quite unexpected death. Bearing in mind this was before the modern day explosion of extreme sports and heli-snowboarding, it was quite an intense movie to watch, even more so because of the totally unexpected and abrupt ending. For years I’ve wondered what that movie was, but I never saw it again and I haven’t been able to find it with any keyword searches.
