Snowboarding Weekend Round-Up
Well, the weekend is finally back. I suppose I don’t have anything of specific interest to talk about, but there are lots of little things to post about regardless:
- As you may have noticed, some cosmetic (and other) changes have taken place on this blog. I’ve done a little work on the look and feel (with some help from friends who were aghast at the old design), and am trying a few ads here and there. The ads have actually introduced me to some things I’d never heard of before, like the High Park Ski Club, which I may join next year.
- I’ve turned on anonymous commenting to make leaving comments easier. I’ve already deleted a couple. Please be civil.
- My season is most definitely done. I’m still on crutches, though now I’m only on one. I have to go back to the hospital next week, where my knee is likely to be drained (yay). Then I get to have an MRI done (double yay). THEN I’ll find out what exactly is wrong. I’m hoping for no tears and a quick recovery, but we’ll see. The only positive thing about this injury is that it happened after my season was more or less done.
- Erica and others report that the conditions in Southern Ontario are ass. It’s supposed to be cold this weekend, so if you’re going to ride – GO NOW!
- The final World Cup snowboarding event of the season is taking place now, and concludes tomorrow.
- Big White in BC is throwing a neato event April 1 and 2: “Rad Galz Classic is a multi-purpose, multi-faceted
lifestyle event which celebrates the female side of the snowboarding
and mountain lifestyle.” Check it out.
Argh. Weekends also mean cleaning the condo. Back to it.
Hooray for comments! Sorry to hear about your season though. Although right now all you seem to be missing is neverending ice. Good luck with the knee stuff!
