OK, one more day to go. I wonder if I’ll survive.
Today’s calamity: I was chugging down Panorama in the 7th Heaven Zone on Blackcomb. I didn’t see a mogul coming, flew off it, didn’t prepare for my landing and sort of twisted my ankle on my good leg. It feels pretty good, so I’m going to give Sunday a go - my last day before I head home.
Spent the entire day on Blackcomb today, though I tried to get one run in on Crab Apple over on Whistler but it was closed for racing. The mountain was pretty busy, but I was on my own - so I didn’t have to line up for much.
Hit all the Blackcomb “must-do” areas today: the glacier (we’re talking football fields worth of snow here people), 7th Heaven and my personal fave: Ridge Runner, a speedy ridge that opens into a wide blue run as it gets lower. Now I’m hearing we’re supposed to get 10cm tonight, so that will make my final day - to be spent on Whistler - a good one, hopefully!
(I’ve also added a couple of crappy photos from my camera phone to the Whistler Photos category.)
