First Post – About Me, This Blog and Snowboarding.
The
premise of this blog is pretty simple. I like snowboarding. I’ve
started doing it alot, and I talk about it even more. The people I talk
about it with are mostly bored of hearing my talk about it. So I
decided to start a blog about it instead.
My actual snowboarding experience is not in-depth. I have only been
riding seriously for a little over a year, but in that time have become
decent enough that a) I don’t get killed and b) I can handle black
diamond runs in most places. I’ve been fortunate to ride a number of
awesome locations in the past year, inlcluding Whistler and Jay Peak. I live in Ontario, Canada, where the skiing and snowboarding is, well, less than stellar.
My gear is certainly weaker than my experience, so I won’t even get
into that. Suffice to say that my used Flow bindings are the highlight.
I’m hoping some people will take notice of this blog and get involved
in some discussions. Over the next few weeks I’ll be working on the
look, feel and organization of the blog, as the entries begin to
accumulate.
